sleep is something we all need

I have been sleeping at 4plus since monday. However, when thurs came, I managed to sleep by 1 plus.. was impossible to sleep earlier due to my now SCREWED up sleeping pattern. Will be trying hard to sleep earlier and earlier till i hit.. 11? Though think it will be tough..heh

And why was bryan sleeping so late? Because the past week there were 3 assignment submissions and a test. Nevermind the test. tht one was easy. Journalism essay was finished by sunday.. no biggie..

Because of me constantly banging on the keyboard for the pr assignments, I was a tad snappy to a few ppl online.. many aplogies.. haha.. especially kav, always getting me at a bad time when the writing flow was on...lol

I have never ever encountered sucha self absorbed woman in all my life. There is just so much to rant abt her pathetic one track minded biased persona. All I had to say was written in tht evaluation form given at the end of the last lecture. And it was a long one. Now all I have to do is to wait for my appt with the director of school. Its not abt the marks which will be eventually given but her pissed up attitude and 2-faced excuse of a personality.

Its so interesting to see how helpful and 'on' students services were in getting me to complain abt her..lol.. they must really hate her..

Haha, my feelings towards tht woman.. I love how XF mentioned the whole irony of her being a PR lecturer..lol

Me,prisc,alvin and neek decided to surprise vtay at her place. Only prisc was expected..hahahaha... this has to be one of gut-funny surprises ever!! hahaha

This is how i remember it went. me and prisc stopped outside the police post and started smsing. we were then asked by the officer inside what we were up to..hahaha... drama lah

met alvin and neek and we 'bumped' downstairs waiting for vtay to hurry up with what julian called 'furious spring cleaning!' and get into the shower so we could sneak into the house.

We had to get prisc to tell vtay tht she had taken the wrong direction on the train and gotten lost so she would need to hail a cab.ha... thts the best lah since no one would be surprised!! LOL! You knw thts so true lah!

Finally tht birthday girl got into the shower...i hid in the sister's room while alvin and neek hid in vtay room.. tht woman took so long to bathe lah!lol.. alvin hid behind the cuboard door while neek hid under the table. when tht woman came out in her towel, went into her room AND FREAKING CLOSED THE DOOR WITH THOSE 2 GUYS STILL INSIDE!! hahaha..

outside, we were all then wondering, ehhhhh? she hasnt discovered them? like a minute plus later, we heard a 'EEEEEEEK! WHAT ARE U DOING THERE! HOW MANY MORE PEOPLE ARE THERE HIDING!

We then heard 'AHHHHHHHHHHH' and a loud thud on the door, apparently alvin had jumped out. when she opened the door, i jumped out to greet her myself! lol...

u shd have seen all our faces..couldnt stop laughing! imagine if she nvr discovered them and then.... ..... ...

A heart shaped letter made by prisc! my first v-day pressie for 2009!woooo!!

Valentine's day came and went. This V-day was extra special because bryan here got down to making chocolate truffles for his family and the people arnd him. haha,

they complained the cocoa power powdering made the first taste bitter, but when they got to the truffle, they said it was soooooo chocolately and rich!! HAHAHAHAH

Thoughts have been running through my head for this 2009 V-day. Firstly, I think many people have been swept and brainwashed to think V-day is all about the romance: cards,chocolates, the works of it all.

However, i think many have forgotten that there are many different types of love. In addition to the romance of your special one, theres the love of friends and family as well. All of which can be stronger and built with sturdier foundation then the shaky uncertain love of romance.

(i also self made kaya toast for my folks and sis before they went out for a movie ok!! *proud proud*!)

I am not discounting romantic love, but never every discredit the love of friendship and family..

A week back, my uber fave local band en-x performed on live&loaded 10 of Feb. They were amazing of course.. Just the mooshing of all those pricks trying to get their face on tv really spoilt it.. Watches, shoes were appearing nowhere near their original owners!! LoL..

There was even one guy in the air being passed around, when he reached julian and me, he expected us to hold him up as well, well we... side stepped, leaving a huge amount of space and he landed on the floor with a loud *THUD*... oops! he even got up saying 'im alrite im alirte!*.. well, apparently not your brain...

Wow, bryan is actually back with a new entry so quickly? lol

Well, im in the mood and i better try and blog more when i have the time..haha..

i cnt be as free as those who constantly blog every single day..lol.. and i foresee busy days ahead... This is for all those asking me to blog more often..lol..

The first week so far has been.. draggy...

And i have to start gearing up for assignments... first deadline is next week and i havent started on it...

relax, i got a rough idea what i need to do and i have become sort of an expert in chruing out huge bouts of info into literary art pieces under stress.. which vtay calls too civilized..LOL

So for how, its some funny and maybe to some, embarassing pics.. haha..

I used to have many soft toys. However, i remember these 2 as my personal favourites,,, mr rainbow(no gay jokes here now!) at the top and dipo..

Found them nicely kept away in plastic bags while i was spring cleaning for Chinese New Year..

after cleaning them up abit, they r back on my bed... haha.. my bed is now filled with my fave softoys... including these 2, theres mr elmo from and pinky bunny.. its getting abit crowded..hahaha

This year's CNY for me, personally meant alot to me. The family got closer.. in times of trials and experiences, these at a price of course, bringing everyone together again.

and.....

im getting closer to really experimenting with my way of dressing.. im much on daring in what i put on my body. hahaha.. superficial yes i knw..but heck it.. its the best time to dress up! haha

I like how i dressed this year. u guys will of course get to see the pics..lol

Thoughts in abundance ran through my head these 2 days. Thoughts that might not be probable to display here. However.. I believe whatever experiences thrown at me, whatever doesnt kill me will make me stronger...

but... if im defeated before tht, how?

Okay, theres no CNY 3rd day. But decided to bring rey on a healing trip from his stressful life of assignments and work. More just a chance to relax and not knowing what to expect next because i never revealed where we r going. Though he guessed the first part lah..which is quite obvious because of our bus route..lol

The ice cold water hit my senses ablazed..

The icy tingling sensation over my skin was welcomed in the heat of the day..

Its been ages since i last swam at my pool...

and boy its chilly..

The year started off great for me.

Currently doing an internship with a magazine publishing house who handle 3 very popular female magazines.(Those who knw me well would know which publishing hse it is)

Learning loads everyday and its quite exciting to see everything before everyone else.. ha. Currently with their marketing dept. After Mercury's Fashion fest in may, will be hopping over to one of their editorial teams..hopefully i get into my preferred choice.. *crosses fingers*

School is alright. 3 modules. each have at least 2-3 assignements. ha.. lets see how i survive. Will i be able to juggle both the internship and school? we'll see..

Nothing much to update and my camera is taking a break except being used for an event i did for the company. However, it will definitely be overworked during chinese new year..lol..

So wait up for the CNY post..lol.. all filled with pics.

My first post for 2009.

Before the year was done, the Lord took uncle stanley back with him. He left us slightly before Christmas. My memories of him are all still so vivid and colourful in my mind. They all depict him smiling joyfully and with so much warmth..

The most humourous memory I have of him is where i was 18 and he asked me during supper 'U interested in my daughter ah?' hahahaha...

Hey Robyn, he is definitely with God now and I know he will definitely be looking over u and aunty with Jesus at his side.

My mood is lifting slightly.. Is it because nothing's out yet? When will the next bombshell drop on me before im down to where I was?

Why has the vampire series by Stephanie Myer intrigued me so much?

I have read all four books. Namely, 'Twilight', 'New Moon', 'Eclipse ' and 'Breaking Dawn'. Of which the last book is my favourite.

I believe its how the story ends off with it answering our deepest wants. Not necessary needs. What do i mean when i say this? Without giving too much away, the end of the whole series is happy without it being realistic/a cold blanket. Which means it gave way to our deepest fantasies. Yeah you might argue, 'but it aint real!' well, the series on vampires is not supposed to be but instead bring us on the journey riled with the trials of separation, reunion and rebirth.

Caught the 'Twilight' movie on Friday. Of course since im an avid reader of the book, the movie did miss out a few scenes though nt as important or as key as how the harry potter movies seem to do it.

However, the detail and accuracy given to each scene is perfect! from facial expressions to body movement was amazing. It was literally as if the book was playing before my eyes. And thts always a good sign!haha

Its the time of the year again when baubles hang from all corners of our shopping district. Christmas.. This year, our beloved Orchard road light up is the worse i have seen it in recent times... its just so.... i dunno.. just dun like it.. and many others feel the same way as i do

Since its almost the end of the year, wanna look back and see what I have achieved for the year of 2008.

-Completed the 2008 Singapore Biathlon( registration for 2009 is up!!) Registered already! hee!

-Completed the army half marathon 2008..

-Just completed the Stan Chart Singapore Marathon. where the pain was almost unbearale!lol. But i CONQUERED IT! and i will be back in 2009! *I think i hear a few people gng 'hes mad!'..lol*

-Celebrated my 21st Birthday which i conceptualised waaaaay back last year..lol. Thx to everyone who made it special! I couldnt have asked for anything more!

-Concluded a very successful, in my opinion Singapore Fashion Festival 2008 as Front of house manager..learned loads and made many really great friends! and i am nvr going to stop learning!

-Finally got back down to the world of mugging and lectures... haha.. I missed it! lol

Ok, achievements this year looks to be on the healthy.

More for the year of 2009!

Been seeing pictures from zoukout everywhere.. hah.. Supposed to go for my very very first zoukout...i backed out last min... just did nt have the mood to mingle about when i found out that there will be like 20 + people i knw who will be there as well... Not that i am anti-social! It just takes alot of energy to mingle like tht! kinda killed my mood.. haha.. though sharon tempted me by calling from there and letting me here the awesome house music... phew! haha.. Maybe next yr... get xun and the rest to go..ha

As the year ends, i am feeling very muted as it draws near. I totally do not know what to see and expect for next year.. i dread to think what is in store many a time...i wish to be excited.. but... how do i be? Tell me?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRITNEY! ITS BEEN 10 YEARS SINCE I FIRST HEARD YOUR MUSIC! ha

Yeah! Britney is back with a new album 'Circus'! I loved 'Blackout' and if not for her horrendous breakdown, that album would have sold more for it was loved by many a critic and fans alike.

Yes i previewed the whole album already even though it has not been released.. But hey! im still a britney fan and just bought the album. she is the only one whose album i will willingly shell out money for...

The songs are amazing and this time there are two ballads 'my baby' and 'out from under' which are currently playing on my blog. Its been sucha long time since she released ballads..

Of course, the fast hard hitting songs are still a mainstay and will definitely have them replaying in your head over and over again. The first single 'Womanizer' is still stuck in my head while the second single 'Circus' is no different...*I automatically go to 'circus' when i switch on my ipod to start off my day* i just pray that it is all the way up for her for now.

Personally, the album can be best described as Blackout but with a bit more personality and heart... so if u loved Blackout, you will adore Circus.

The documentary by MTV named Britney: for the record seems an intimate look into her life. Though maybe it seems so intimate that it might be staged. Who knws when you have a maestro of a pr person like Larry Rudolph behind you

Yes u read it... after assignment meal.*i spent a whole afternoon on just fallacies alone ok!! but it was worth it for i did not have a very hard time mugging for that topic during the prof comm paper* was so damn stressed up after the prof comm journal tht i needed to a good meal... hahaha... had it at this jap restaurant at takashimaya which served really delicious japanese food.. yumpz!
